| Bio: |  All images and/or writing displayed in this journal are made by yours truly, unless stated otherwise. Now to get to the juicy stuff... In a crunchy nutshell, I am Dian - also known as Skye. I burp, I blubber, I gurgle, and I swing from trees - occasionally I yell "LOBSTER BOLLOCKS!" for no apparent or relevant reason except that I want to. I'm also an accidental bipolar, an emotional roller-coaster, and overall a very confused woman with passive-aggressive tendencies. Meaning: I wouldn't say boo to a goose, but if someone walks up to you the day after pissing me off with a black eye, chances are it's my fault. In short, I'm every negative stereotype of a woman there is. And then some. Joking aside; I have two Bachelor of Arts degrees in graphic and multimedia design, respectively. I graduated in the top 10% of my class, and finished both courses in a little under 4 years. I finished high school in the age of 16 and was accepted into university soon after, which rendered me as the youngest graduate in the age of 20. I no longer aim to become a successful graphic/editorial designer someday - but I am still a true-to-form design nerd who can specifically tell you the difference between vector-based and raster-based text, elaborately explain how each CMYK and RGB works, and why a piece of design/art can be excellent even if it seems very plain, garish, or downright ugly at a glance. I'm very anal about the difference between the terms "font" and "typeface", and also "art" and "design". Apart from that, I'm also a full-fledged slash author and fan, but that's largely based on perversion than anything else. Wohohoho. I'm hopelessly in love with fashionable aesthetics, and I'm fairly creative and skilful when it comes to makeup application. My closet's bursting my clothes, shoes, and bags, and I have a whole shelf full of varied cosmectic products I'm always experimenting with. But really, I'm a cheapskate. Despite the fact that I have been mistaken as a fashion design graduate in more than one occasion, I'm really just obsessed with everything vintage and secondhand, and I'm good at mixing and matching. The older and quirkier, the better. Beneath it all, I'm just a strange little girl with a very dirty imagination. I love my Mum and friends, and would gladly die for them in a heartbeat. I have overactive tearducts. I giggle too often and too much for my own good. I'm a cuddle monster among my mates because I hug pretty much everything with a trunk, and I'm almost always broke because I'm too busy with classes to work at times.  *bows* I'm pleased to meet you. And the experts say, Missi: "Women, get in line. Men, give it up, it's a lost cause. As long as the C batteries still exist in this planet, you'll never be able to date Dian." Mum: "I must be living in a mad house. Your sister's off with a chap who looks more like a drowned rat than anything, the dog is chewing on the furniture, and you're running around with a paintbrush in your hair." Disturbing facts: - I don't watch the TV - haven't for about 4 years now. - I curse like a sailor. - I also behave like one when I'm drunk. - I was born and raised in a third-world country; namely Indonesia. - I never had any formal education of the English language - I learned it from Beverly Hills 90210, Melrose Place, and The Babysitters Club series. - I don't trust hairdressers. I cut, style, and treat my own hair the way I like. - I moved out of home and into another country when I was 16. - I'm inexplicably misandristic. - Mum was watching a documentary on the Isles of Skye at bloody Discovery Channel when she had her labour with me - that's how she came up with my name. - Mum is the most important person in my life. - I literally get a twitchy eye when I come across badly groomed and/or over-tweezed eyebrows. - I'm very anal about tiny little details most people don't even notice. - I'm very anal about spelling and grammatical errors even though English isn't my first language. - But I once made the grave mistake of telling a possible dyslexic to "learn to spele". - I have no nose hair. At all. - I've inherited Mum's unattractive talent of tongue-lashing. She's not proud :) - I'm not a malicious person in general, but if something intereferes with where my grades and/or credibility as a graphic designer are concerned, I turn into a carnivorous, acid-spitting bitch with nine heads. - I often brush my teeth while taking a dump. - I hate kids, but kids - sadly - don't hate me. - American spelling bothers me. - I'm a Photoshop and Illustrator whore. - In my opinion, clothes are very restricting. So when I'm within the boundaries of my own bedroom - yep, you guessed it - I walk around au naturale. - My mood pendulum is always swinging to all sorts of direction violently. - I'm supposed to be working at the moment.
